In the Art Class, this 5th April 2014, we draw a pot that contains a seed of tomato in it. And, another pot that contains a seedling in it. We draw this because the garden mentor was talking about seeds and their lifestyle. As usual, the student draw successfully. The class was absolutely brilliant.
It’s always the most exciting part of class: the art class . The children are always keen to draw. To day we continue with the series of food the rabbit can eat , and food it cannot eat.
For what rabbit can eat, we drew habitats, Grassland.
For what rabbit cannot eat we draw a tomato.
The class was very satisfying, the students were very laborious.
Today, the class was Practical, we talked about rabbit food. What kind of food rabbit can eat and what it cannot eat too. We then draw a board to illustrate what rabbit can eat . The children learnt how to draw a carrot , which is one of the most eatable food for rabbit . The teacher looked over them while they were drawing. All the children drew and colored well.
It was a wonderful drawing class. The children participated greatly.
This Saturday15 March, we talked about trees, what is a tree and their importance in our environment.
We worked on a recipe including different vegetables such as carrots, peppers, onions. We will talk about their nutritional value next Saturday.
We also had a course on how to draw trees, birds and leaves.
It was a wonderful class, the children were very happy.
Today in the gardening class, we talked about environment, what it means, and about the importance of the environment for Haiti. After we organized an art course when the kids drew some plants and animals which is part of the environement. Each child made a drawing and talked about what they put into their drawing and what it repressents for them, just to see what they understood about the class. At the end of the course, the children watered what they had planted in the first class.
