PHA sends love to San Francisco designer, Elizabeth Marley and carpenter extraordinaire Jason DeCook for rocking out our shipping container into the best art center in Port-au-Prince! Besides just storing our art supplies, the center will be the home base for our Visiting Artist Program, Photography & Media Arts Program and Teacher Training Workshops.
Centrally located on base at Haiti Communitere in the Clercine district of Port-au-Prince; the center also has a fold out stage to be used for presentations, performances, art demos and open mic nights to encourage year round community use. Project HOPE Art will be managing the art center, providing a flow of visiting artists and fostering growth through teacher training workshops. Haiti Communitere will provide workshop space, tools and housing for all visiting artists. Visiting Artists also have the opportunity to organize their own teacher training workshop at the art center.
Apply to be a Visiting Artist Here!
