Board of Directors Committees
2017-2019

 

Within the organizational and operational structure of Project HOPE Art, we have three operating mantras that should be adopted when completing committee work for the NGO. Let these guide you to greatness.

  2. N’ap fe remake ayiti e riap montre mond lan riches nan peyi nou an. We are rebranding Haiti and showing the world the richness of our country.
  3. Fe plis ke sa yo mande w fe sa. Si yo mande w 2 bay 3 oubyen plis. Do more than expected of you. if you are requested 2, give 3.

 

Programming Committee

Serves to facilitate art programming in various capacities on the ground in disaster zones and at-risk communities. Collaborative classes and community directed courses fall under this umbrella. They include: Student Exhibitions, Concerts and Classes under the following disciplines: Gardening, Photography, Journalism, Creative Writing, Dance, Music, Art and Design.
To serve on this committee one should speak Kreyol/French or have developed connections with the organizations on the ground partners.

Installation Committee

Serves to facilitate large scale art installations such as our Let There Be Light series or the Wise Elders airport project.

To serve on this committee one should have experience fabricating, building, installing or otherwise executing large scale art displays.

Giving Committee

Serves to facilitate art in the developing world through solicitation of donations, grants and events. Project HOPE Art survives on _____ yearly. We need a diverse source of steady funding to help the children whom rely on us, thrive.

To serve on this committee one should have experience creating LOI and successful grant applications. One must be comfortable reaching out to potential donors to give to certain programming and installation budgets.

Strategic Planning Committee

Serves to facilitate the organization’s mission, vision and core values throughout the internal and external experience. Coordinates long range plans based on other committees goals. Creates documentation/communication in advance of each coming year. Facilitates quarterly updates and tracks deliverables, project updates and key learnings to the organization at-large.

To serve on this committee one should have experience with project management and long range goal facilitation.
