At The H.E.A.R.T. School, their mission is to build pathways to independence in Haiti with education made possible through learning partners in the United States and Canada. They operate a school in Croix-des-Bouquets, Haiti with roughly 100 children, 5 teachers, 10 staff and multiple volunteers. They offer hope for independence through education for their students, and employment and learning opportunities for their families and the community at large.
Project HOPE Art worked with The H.E.A.R.T. School on our very first trip and they took us under their wing. WOH is responsible for making the HOPE Art team fall in love with Haiti and its people. We’ve created murals, chalkboard walls, face painting, I draw U draw, and multiple other creative projects with the students. We’re hoping to work with them again once their new school is built!
